Who we are

What this website collects

• Anonymous visit statistics. We run our own cookieless analytics (Umami). It records the page viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and the country. It sets no cookie, stores no IP address, and identifies a visitor only by a hash that changes every 24 hours, so we cannot recognise you across days.
• Your theme choice. If you switch between light and dark, that preference is kept in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

We use no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third-party trackers, and we sell no data.

Why, and on what basis

The statistics tell us which pages are useful and where visitors come from. Because they are anonymous and cookieless, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Where it is kept

The site and its analytics run on our own infrastructure in Amazon Web Services' EU (Stockholm) region. Server logs, which can include your IP address, are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting, with our log provider Better Stack in the EU. Statistics are kept for as long as they are useful for running the site.

Our apps

The GoJars apps (such as Bills) handle account data. Each will describe what it collects before you sign up.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you may object to its processing. Write to sparkacus@gojars.io. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
